What is Ultra High Voltage DC (UHV DC)?
The Siemens Ultra High Voltage DC System is the latest developed system with a new dimension of efficiency in HVDC transmission.
(The Siemens Ultra High Voltage DC System is a newly developed system that ensures increased performance and robustness of the transmission grid during periods of steadily growing energy demand.) It provides a single bipole power transmission capacity of more than seven GW at a voltage of ± 800 kV, while reducing transmission losses by 60 percent compared with standard ± 500 kV HVDC.
